Signs of a manifold problem
- A ticking or tapping sound from the engine bay, often loudest on a cold start.
- A smell of exhaust fumes in the engine bay or cabin.
- Visible cracks or soot marks on or around the manifold.
Downpipes
The downpipe connects the manifold, or the turbo on a turbocharged engine, to the rest of the exhaust. We fabricate, repair and replace downpipes in mild or stainless steel, including on vehicles where the standard part no longer fits.
Fabricated to fit
Where a replacement part isn’t available, or the original design keeps failing, a fabricated manifold or downpipe is an alternative. It’s built for your vehicle and joined to the rest of your exhaust, whether that’s the standard system or a custom or performance exhaust.
