What we do on diesels
- Servicing: oil, filters and the checks a diesel needs on schedule. See servicing and mechanical repairs.
- Fault-finding: warning lights, power loss and smoke traced with a diagnostic scan and proper checks.
- Turbos: see turbo repairs and fitment.
- Repairs: TODO: the other diesel repairs you do (owner to confirm), e.g. injectors, glow plugs, EGR and DPF problems, timing belts
- Exhausts and pipework: repaired or built to order. See custom and performance exhausts.
TODO: which diesel vehicles you work on (bakkies, SUVs, trucks?) and any makes you specialise in
Signs your diesel needs attention
- Hard starting, especially on a cold morning.
- Loss of power, or the vehicle dropping into “limp mode”.
- More smoke than usual. Black, white and blue smoke each point to different problems.
- Fuel consumption creeping up.
- A warning light on the dash, such as the engine, glow plug or DPF light.
Why diesel maintenance matters
Modern diesels are sensitive to fuel quality and to service intervals. Clean filters, the right oil and regular checks help prevent much bigger bills later, from injectors, turbos and diesel particulate filters (DPFs). If your vehicle tows, works hard or mostly does short trips, ask us whether it needs a shorter service interval.
Get in touch
Feel free to drop us a WhatsApp and see how we can help. It helps to include your vehicle’s make, model, year and mileage, and what’s happening: when the problem shows up, which warning lights are on, and any smoke or noises.
